Nahkiainen Lighthouse 2021

Nahkianen Lighthouse repair works.

On a sunny Saturday morning, we sent two of our mobile cranes on ferries to sail towards the Nahkiainen lighthouse.

The Nahkiainen lighthouse is located offshore in the Bothnian Bay off Raahe city. The aquatic lighthouse has been in use since 1956.

The lighthouse was due to some repairs as the sea had eroded the concrete and steel components.

Our cranes, Liebherr LTM 1060 and Liebherr LTM 1070 were assisting the repairs as the old steel mantle was replaced with a new one.

Working offshore on a hot day on calm sea was definitely not something we experience every day.
