Customer days and crawler crane presentation

We arranged customer days at Raahe depot with a crawler crane presentation theme on Thursday the 3rd of February 2022. The aim was to showcase both our current and upcoming fleet.

The demonstration featured our most powerful lattice boom crawler crane Demag CC2400-1, which could be seen erected in the yard. The equipment on the day was 48 metres of basic boom, 72 metres of luffing jib and 40 tonnes of counterweights on the superlift.

The equipment available is 96 metres of basic boom, 36 metres of fixed jib and 72 metres luffing jib, which can be used to raise to a height of 165 metres. Presented next to the lattice boom crane was the two-axis Liebherr LRT 1100, acquired last year, holding the CC-2400 400-ton hook. The weight of the hook being 8 tons.

Inside the depot customers could familiarize themselves with the upcoming additions to our fleet: there were pictures, brochures, and videos, and of course, staff presenting the new cranes.

We were also happy to welcome Tadano’s representative Pertti Isokorpi as a guest to the event, who was able to describe the Tadano’s new crane models in more detail.

Moreover, for lunch we served our customers local salmon soup from Lapaluoto, which was the perfect soup for a cold day. We enjoyed sunny weather on the day, although the temperature stayed below -15 degrees.

The big question of the day was the total weight of the crawler crane that was assembled to the yard with its current equipment. The answer will be revealed at the end of the story for those who are intrigued by the question.

 

During this year, our fleet will be complemented by six new cranes:

• Liebherr LTM 1060 (60t) mobile crane

• Liebherr LTM 1150 (150t) mobile crane

And Finland’s first:

• Tadano GTC-1800/2000 (200t) telescopic boom crawler crane

• Tadano AC 4.080 (80t) E-Pack 2pcs electric mobile cranes

• Tadano AC 7.450 (450t) mobile crane

We already have 60 ton mobile cranes in our fleet, however other cranes being new models to our fleet, they will increase the versatility of our offering.

Liebherr’s LTM 1150 is a brand-new model with a lifting height of up to 92 meters.

Tadano’s AC 4.080, E-Pack-equipped, fully electric cranes are highly anticipated. Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, we will be able to offer our customers completely emission-free lifting from August onwards. Also, in April, we will receive our first telescopic boom crawler crane, which is already eagerly awaited for its properties for wind power construction.

To complement our range of heavy cranes, we get Tadano’s 450-ton, 7-axis mobile crane. Hydraulic boom is 80 meters, and with a luffing jib, the height can be increased by 81 meters. Tadano’s mobile cranes also have a real-time 360-degree camera system, which of course also brings many benefits to the crane operator.
