HSEQ Policy (Health, Safety, Environment and Quality)
As a responsible lifting service company, E. Helaakoski Oy maintains adequate precautions related to safety, occupational health, environmental protection and quality. Our policy is the priority of safety in operations and decision-making, with which we aim to strengthen a safe environment for all, where the risks of accidents, injuries and other activities that harm health are prevented. Our most important HSEQ targets are zero accidents, zero environmental damage, zero quality deviations and 100% satisfied customers.
We are committed to a good safety culture and to carry out our operations in accordance with current laws, decrees and official regulations so that the conduct of our operations does not pose a danger to the safety or health of our personnel or customers, environmental pollution or a risk of environmental pollution. The quality of our operations corresponds to our HSEQ policy when our deliveries lead to customer satisfaction, permanent employment relationships and profitable operations of both our customers and our own company. E. Helaakoski Oy’s quality means fast and accurate delivery time, taking customer wishes into account and uncompromising compliance with contract terms. Our vision is to be the safest and highest-quality lifting service company in Finland. Our customers should see us as a reliable and reliable long-term partner who commits to what has been agreed.
Our HSEQ policy includes all measures to avoid health and safety hazards and environmental hazards related to the company’s operations. This includes anticipating the effects, the measures to be taken and monitoring the effects of the measures.
We set HSEQ targets to improve our operations related to occupational safety, health, environmental protection and quality. We maintain the administrative structure required by HSEQ measures and ensure the availability of sufficient resources to achieve the set goals. We continuously develop the occupational safety, quality and efficiency of our operations in cooperation with our partners.
We take into account the HSEQ perspectives of our stakeholders and actively address them in our operations. We take into account the required HSEQ perspectives in business planning and decision-making. We take care of training our personnel in occupational safety and health, as well as environmental and quality matters. Each staff member knows their own HSEQ responsibility and acts accordingly. Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that new employees are familiarised with HSEQ matters.
We maintain the company’s preparedness for HSEQ emergencies. Non-conformities in HSEQ operations are reported and the reports are processed in accordance with the instructions of the company’s safety, environmental and quality management system. We actively analyse the risks and opportunities of our work, and we utilise the results of these analyses in our operations.
The established HSEQ policy is evaluated at regular intervals to ensure continuous improvement and, if necessary, changes are made to ensure its compatibility with legislation and customer requirements.
We communicate our HSEQ policy to partners, customers and other third parties. This HSEQ policy will be made available to our customers and stakeholders.

As proof of the continuous improvement of E. Helaakoski Oy’s operations and processes, our company has been granted the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system certificate granted on 2.11.2016 by Inspecta Sertifiointi Oy. In addition, we have achieved ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification, which confirms our commitment to managing environmental impacts and complying with the principles of sustainable development.
In 2024, we also certified our occupational safety and health management system according to ISO 45001 . This further reinforces our commitment to the pillars of safety, quality and professionalism that are at the heart of the development of our services.
